A timer record is a starting point for an invoice, not a substitute for reviewing what a client should be billed. ClockFuel can assemble saved sessions into a text draft and export the underlying time log as CSV. It does not deliver the invoice or collect the client's payment.
Before sending: correct client, correct job, correct dates, reviewed notes, reviewed total, and the actual attachment.
Save the work you want to include
Stop the current session and check the account-save status. A running session is not yet a completed invoice line. Review the relevant work history and any notes. If you are billing a particular project, confirm that its sessions belong to the correct job before opening the invoice builder.
Choose the client, dates, and job
Expand Invoice + email. Enter the client name, project or task name, and invoice contact email. Choose a quick range or enter explicit start and end dates. Select the intended invoice job rather than leaving All Jobs selected for a single-client invoice. Generate the draft and compare the displayed range with the period you agreed to bill.
Review the draft line by line
Check the client details, session durations, rates, total amount, and work notes. Notes are included in invoice drafts, so remove private information before sharing. The generated text is not a complete accounting workflow: add any additional invoice details your own process requires in your chosen document or billing tool. Do not send the illustrative homepage invoice as if it were your own record.
Export and send deliberately
Download the text draft or copy it into your document. Download CSV if you want a time-log attachment. Choose a professional or friendly email tone and add your sender name. Copy that email draft into your email service, review the recipient and attachments, and send it yourself. ClockFuel does not schedule or automatically send these messages.
